🎯 Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Bilingual Elementary Teacher (Spanish) to join our team on a through the end of the next school year
The ideal candidate will provide instruction in both English and Spanish, support multilingual learners, and create a positive, engaging classroom environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth.
🧾 Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish to K-8
- Develop lesson plans aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards
- Support English Language Learners (ELLs) through bilingual instruction
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Prepare instructional materials and assign classwork/homework
- Assess, grade, and provide feedback on student work
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration
- Communicate with families regarding student performance
- Document and report behavioral or academic concerns
✅ Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Valid NJ DOE Instructional Certificate (Elementary K–8 or appropriate subject area)
- Valid NJ DOE Bilingual/Bicultural Endorsement (Spanish)
- Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
- Previous K–8 teaching experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of classroom management and instructional best practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
🚨 Important Certification Requirement
Candidates must hold BOTH:
- A valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Elementary School K–8 or equivalent)
- AND a Bilingual Endorsement in Spanish
👉 Candidates with only a bilingual endorsement (no base certificate) will not be considered.
Compensation: $48,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
